Mumbled vision
Distorted by pep talks;
A barrage of hidden insecurities.
Only the mirror shows who really walks.

Self-awareness is key
Leaving open an esteem that’s been humbled.
Life’s been spent worrying too much
And sticking up for one’s self; that voice is mumbled.

Change happens,
Only in the mind.
That charade has been played too long.
A dress rehearsal is more of the like kind.
